This 2-day highly practical course is designed for experienced ultrasound practitioners, and aims to master practitioners’ advanced applications of Diagnostic MSK Ultrasound of all upper limb peripheral joints.

Course description

This intensive hands-on two-day International Musculoskeletal Ultrasound - Upper Limb (Level II) course is designed for experienced medical and allied healthcare professionals in Diagnostic MSK Ultrasound.

This highly practical course aims to master practitioners’ sonography skills comprising advanced applications of MSK Ultrasound of all upper limb peripheral joints.

This course will take a blended approach to learning. It will provide a range of learning formats and teaching delivery styles and allow an individual approach, providing participants with some flexibility in their preferred learning style. Hence, the course comprises a mixture of lectures, demonstrations, case studies, and practical workshops. The practical workshops take place in small groups with close supervision from our expert tutors.

The course includes advanced scanning techniques and protocols of all upper limb peripheral joints including advanced anatomy short lectures, normal appearance of the anatomical tissues and structures in ultrasound, and advanced pathology case studies.

Please note that English is the official language of the course.

  • This course prefers all participants to receive and administer ultrasound scanning

  • Participants may not make full use of this course if there is any reason that prevents full participation

  • Participants are advised to refresh their knowledge of relevant anatomy prior to attending the course

Who is this course for?

This highly practical hands-on two-day International MSK Ultrasound - Upper Limb (Level IIa) course is tailored to specifically meet the needs of experienced medical and healthcare professionals looking to take their sonography skills to the next level.

The course is open to radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, rheumatologists, orthopaedic surgeons, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, sports physicians, physiotherapists and other medical and allied healthcare professionals.

 

Please note that, like all similar courses worldwide, the International MSK Ultrasound - Upper Limb (Level IIa) course provides a lot of practical knowledge but does not award a certificate of competency. You shall enquire with your relevant professional/regulatory body to obtain the license in order to legally perform diagnostic ultrasound in clinical settings.
