Stavros is a Senior Lecturer in the Institute of Health and Social Care at London South Bank University (LSBU) UK and Course Director of the MSc (pre-reg) Sport Rehabilitation. He is also the Lead Tutor for the Diagnostic MSK Ultrasound course at LSBU.

Alongside academia, he works as Band 7 MSK Sonographer in the Radiology Department at Queen's Hospital NHS Trust in Romford, London UK.

Prior to that, he worked in elite professional medical teams in football as an Athletic Therapist at Barnet FC, and Queens Park Rangers (QPR) FC.

Stavros serves as Deputy Editor at Ultrasound Journal of the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS); Accreditor at the Consortium for the Accreditation of Sonographic Education (CASE); External Examiner for the BSc and MSc Medical Ultrasound at Birmingham City University; Reviewer at The Ultrasound Journal of the World Interactive Network Focused on Critical Ultrasound (WINFOCUS); Chair in the Research and Education Committee at the World Federation of Athletic Therapy (WFATT); and he is the Chairman of the Greek Athletic Therapy Association.

He is member of the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS); the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT); and the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine (BASEM).
